Insane this one even happened. Supervising Director of the series, Dave Cunningham, DM'ed me on Twitter asking me if I wanted to storyboard on an episode of SpongeBob. Not gonna lie, I freaked out hardcore. One of those things I never thought would happen, and it did.

I plussed a sequence initially storyboarded by Zeus Cervas for the episode, Necro-Nom-Nom-Nom-I-Con, where SpongeBob tries to buy a cookbook, but oh jeez, it's the Book of the Dead. Easy mistake to make. Above is said sequence, created entirely in Photoshop, with further revisions provided by Dave. I'm so happy at how accurate this is to my drawings. I even added the little sequence where his eyes dart back and forth, and THEY MADE A BACKGROUND OF IT!

Dave could not have been a more kind and accommodating director, and I'm so lucky that THIS was my very first industry credit. I boarded this sequence all the way from Massachusetts, and before this, I thought I had zero chance working on an industry show because of that distance. Dave, happily, proved me wrong. SpongeBob is a cartoon that means so much to me, and being able to be a minuscule part of its production was a true blue bucket list item I got to tick off.
